Manage a Bitcoin wallet in a separate app.

This edition contains the FRTC wallet interface and its required runtime. It does not include Messenger chat or Firebase sign-in. Windows and Linux packages bundle Tor; the Android preview includes Guardian Project's Tor service. Each app starts Tor when the wallet opens and stops it when the wallet closes.

The wallet includes Bitcoin mainnet receive and send flows. Scan a wallet QR on Android, or open a bitcoin: link on a PC with FRTC Wallet installed, to fill the recipient and optional amount. Review every payment in the wallet; opening a link never sends BTC. Transactions are broadcast to the public Bitcoin network. FRTC Wallet Preview

Standalone send-and-receive wallet with bundled Tor. Bitcoin QR codes and payment links open a prefilled Send screen; review recipient, amount, and fee before confirming. No FRTC Messenger chat.

Install the Linux package

Download the matching package first, then run its install command from the Downloads folder.

Debian / Ubuntu

cd ~/Downloads
sudo apt install ./FRTC_Wallet_linux.deb

Open FRTC Wallet from the applications menu.

Fedora

cd ~/Downloads
sudo dnf install ./FRTC_Wallet_linux.rpm

Open FRTC Wallet from the applications menu.

Portable Linux ZIP

Extract the ZIP archive.
Open a terminal in the extracted wallet folder.
Run chmod +x "./bin/FRTC Wallet", then ./bin/FRTC\ Wallet.

Open bitcoin: links on Windows

The Windows installer registers FRTC Wallet for your Windows account. The portable ZIP does not change Windows settings automatically. To register it, extract the complete ZIP, open the extracted wallet folder in PowerShell, and run powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\Register-Bitcoin-Links.ps1. To undo it, run powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\Unregister-Bitcoin-Links.ps1. FRTC Wallet fills the recipient and amount; it never sends just because a link was opened.

Open bitcoin: links on Linux

The DEB and RPM installers register the wallet as a bitcoin: link handler. For the portable ZIP, extract it and run ./register-bitcoin-links.sh from its folder. Run ./unregister-bitcoin-links.sh to remove that per-user link handler. Opening a link fills the Send screen for review.
